Farm Educator

Farm Educators  are the outward face of Learning Tree Farm. They interact with and educate children, teachers, families, sponsors, and the community at large.  Farm Educators are responsible for implementing and leading all of our on-farm education programs, with planning assistance from the Farm Education Director and Education Committee. Farm Educators ensure that our educational programming is a premier community resource for hands-on learning experiences in a traditional farm setting.

Part-Time Nature Preschool Teacher

Are you passionate about nature-based, child-led education?   

Then join our teaching team at the Learning Tree Farm  Nature Preschool where we are eager to share our passion for building a community of lifelong learners and lovers of nature in our Reggio-Emilia-inspired program.  As a part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with other educators who are passionate about engaging students in hands-on, child-led, learning experiences while immersed in the 85+ acres of farm and woodlands of the Learning Tree Farm.

This position includes team-teaching a mixed-age group of 15 students, 2 days a week.

Farm and Facilities Maintenance Worker

Do you have knowledge of small engines, experience operating and repairing farm equipment, and an interest in working outdoors?

If you have the ability to work with people of all ages, are self-motivated, and have excellent problem solving and organizational skills, we’re looking for you! Nature Preschool Substitute Teacher

Do you have preschool classroom teaching experience? Do you love being outside, hiking, and actively playing in all kinds of weather? Our child-led environment may be the perfect place to spend your days during the school year. Most assignments are made in advance, but some early morning calls may be required. The school runs from September-December and February-May.

Volunteers

We are always searching for volunteers for basic gardening, cleaning, and general farm work and have sign-ups for volunteering sessions every Wednesday & the 1st Saturday of each month.
