Help Us Grow
There is a growing demand for nature-based education in our community and we need your help meeting this need. Make a DonationBecome a VolunteerSupport the Farm
Even as we continue to grow each year with new and exciting opportunities, the foundation of Learning Tree Farm remains a traditional farm experience through our school field trips, community programs, and special events.
At Learning Tree Farm, children of all ages can explore nature, handle farm animals, taste fresh produce, and expand their knowledge of the ecosystem and of Ohio’s agricultural history.
Your support helps Learning Tree Farm, a 501(c)3, establish important connections between our community and the natural world, and your gift TODAY helps preserve these vital relationships for future generations.
Please consider a gift to Learning Tree Farm and help us continue our mission of engaging people in hands-on, nature-based learning in the timeless farm setting.

Become a Farm Volunteer
Keeping the farm ready for visitors requires work & dedication each and every day. Learning Tree Farm welcomes all individuals and groups that want to help support our mission by donating their time and talents.
There are a variety of tasks that volunteers can help with at the farm. Garden work – planting, weeding, and harvesting, is the primary need from Spring to Fall. We also need volunteers to keep our wooded trails clear, clean stalls, help with fundraisers and other community events, and more! There are several opportunities already set up for you to come and work alongside us. See details & registration links below.
Autumn Fest:
Join us as a volunteer for the 2024 Autumn Fest, our annual and only fundraiser! Volunteer opportunities involve helping with crafts and games, taking tickets, interacting with families in our garden and with animals, and general assistance during the festival. You will receive one free admission for the festival for your help. Learn more here.
Weekly Wednesday:
Join us every Wednesday, as you are available from 10:30 am-1:30 pm. While working the entire time is not required, we do ask for a minimum of 2 hours each visit. The Farm is seeking volunteers to help mostly in the garden to plant, weed, and maintain this educational space. However, there may on occasion be tasks around the farm, or possibly in the woodlands. Tasks will vary from week to week.
1st Saturdays:
Join us the first Saturday of every month from 10:00am-3:00pm for a day of varied tasks at the Farm. While working the entire time is not required, we do ask for a minimum of 2 hours each visit. Individuals, groups, and families are welcome, however volunteers under 15 years of age should be accompanied by an adult. For garden tasks a volunteer should be able to bend over, knee/sit on ground. Animal volunteers should be comfortable with animals and their manure, and adult volunteers should be able to lift 50 pounds. Volunteers in the forest should be comfortable walking, able to bend, lift, pull plants, and be comfortable using hand clippers.
*Children 15 and under are encouraged to volunteer, but should be supervised by an accompanying adult.
Corporate & Large Groups (10+ volunteers):
For groups that are 10 volunteers or more please reach out to us at Volunteer@LearningTreeFarm.org to schedule your own time to work on the farm. While there are always tasks in the garden, woodlands, and barns, there are some jobs that are best done by many hands. By scheduling your group it makes those larger jobs more accomplishable.
