2017 Learning Tree Farm Day Camp Adventures

“Be a Farmer for the Day!”

Drop Off Summer Camp

Morning School Age (6-11 year olds) 9:00am-1:00pm   $30

All Day School Age 9:00am-3:00pm $40

Be a farmer for the day!  Participants will enjoy the full farm experience in a fun hands-on way.  From hauling water (water games) to feeding creatures, to collecting eggs and tending to the garden (eating a snack), children will get the full experience of our farmyard, fields, and forest.  Art using collected materials and music made with farm implements will round out the day.

Morning participants will meet at the Nature Preschool building and then hike to the farmyard. Campers will enjoy a snack from the Garden that they will harvest and create.  They will finish their day by eating a packed picnic lunch from home. Additional staffing and grouping will be added based on enrollment to assure a positive experience for campers of all ages.

All Day School Agers have the option of extending their day into the afternoon by exploring Learning Tree Farm’s forest and fields. Extended day campers will have the chance to learn plant identification skills while navigating our nature trails!

The different months of the summer provide different plants and opportunities.  Each of the three Day Camps will incorporate a great mix of related but varied activities so that coming to all three sessions will create a new experience in a familiar setting.  Campers are encouraged to sign up for all three sessions but are welcome to attend the number of days their schedule allows.

All participants will be emailed required forms that will be due at arrival on the morning of the first day of camp.  Payment by check, cash, or credit card will be due that morning as well.

Summer Camp questions can be directed to Meredith Florkey, Education Director education@learningtreefarm.org.
