A Day In the Life of the Funderburgs
Saturday 12 August 2017, 10:00am - 12:00pm
Contact Meredith Florkey, education@learningtreefarm.org

Participants will be able to get a sneak peak at one of our newest field trip programs that will be offered next fall season!

The Funderburg family settled our farm in the year 1829 when John and his wife Margaret (Shank) brought their two children, Jacob and Anna and Margaret's niece, Lydia Shank, in a covered wagon from Frederick County Maryland. They were of German ancestry and part of a great movement who settled in the west side of the Miami Valley.

What was life like back then? Children and adults alike will take on a role and participate in chores, games, and taste food of the day!
