It is Learning Tree Farm’s mission to provide hands on learning experiences in a traditional farm setting.  However, sometimes groups just can’t get to the farm.  What if the farm came to you?

From November through March (and limited summer dates) farm staff are available to create a program to meet your needs at your facility.  We can align to academic standards and themes to add a new depth to your instruction or event.  Some groups to enjoy these programs have been classrooms, church groups, live nativities, and festivals.  Sheep herding is always a popular demonstration that will draw an audience to your event.

For more information please email info@learningtreefarm.org with: your name, organization, your top dates for a visit, and an address.  We look forward to serving the Miami Valley either here at the farm or at your site!

Winter Family Fun Series

• It is our goal to make these family programs as low cost and accessible as possible for the community. If you are able to make a $5 donation per family to support these programs it would be greatly appreciated.
• Registration is not required for these events
• Please dress for the weather.  If there is a question about weather conditions we will post information on the home page of our website that day.  You can also check our Facebook page.

Natural Gift Making

December 6th 10:00-12:00 (inclement weather day Dec. 7th)

Using the treasures of nature we will create small gifts that will be suitable for the upcoming holidays. This event is open to all ages; kids, parents, grandparents-all will get a chance to make something. In preparation for this event, if you have natural materials in your yard this fall (i.e. seed pods, dried hydrangea blossoms, grapevine, dried ornamental grasses), collect them and bring them along.

Winter Hike

January 24th 10:00-12:00 (inclement weather day January 25th)

We will gather together to enjoy the mysteries of the winter woods and give the farm animals a little visit. Afterwards we'll share a hot cocoa and a snack!

Love the Birds

February 7th 10:00-12:00 (inclement weather day February 8th)

After a long winter the birds are looking for food. We want to keep birds in our garden so that they will continue to work for us the following summer eating potentially damaging insects. We will practice a little bird watching and then create easy birdfeeders to decorate the farm and one to take home for your own feathered friends.
